Hi everyone

My dd is 4 months old, she's has always been amazing sleep wise fine on her own etc

The past few weeks she's been a bit needier and dribbly chewing on everything, the past few days she's been a nightmare just screaming to be held (like no other scream before) she had her 3rd lot of jabs on Tuesday, but seemed fine after

I'm pretty sure it's her teeth causing the problem, how long do they take to cut through? I've been putting anbesol on her gums which seems to help I just don't want to be using that if the pain will get worse

I'm pretty sure I can feel something but it's definitely not pushing through yet or really near the surface

Any tips opinions will be much appreciated! Smile

Thank you x

Hi, my DS was the worst after his 4 months imms. He was okay initially but then went on the scream the house down and this went on for a full two weeks. We never knew whether it was caused by the jabs or the 4 month growth spurt developmental leap but suspect it was abit of both. Hang in there as it does get better. DS is now 9 months and a much happier chap!

Teeth get blamed for all sorts even when they are not the culprit. Normally they only cause discomfort when they are actually breaking through the gum
I would take your baby to get checked over at the GP in case of earn or throat infection

Teeth can take awhile to cut enough I think they're all different. DS's teething seems to start at about 3 month old and now at 9 months has 6 teeth. The signs can start before you even see a tooth so it came take awhile. Once he first couple of teeth come in the subsequent teeth don't to be as bad. I used to find letting DS chew on a clean cold wash cloth helped. And also try putting his pacifiers in the fridge as that worked a treat.
