It really is down to personal preference I think...but I have always preferred my tots bots nippa's to sandy's nappies due to their absorbancy.

Although my extensive nappy collection is made up of a few different types of nappy for different needs - I have mostly tots bots nippa's (and a few velcro) for regular usage and some motherease onesize poppers which are good for under slimmer fitting clothes and for change bag.

My advice would be to buy 2nd hand/borrow a couple of each to try out before you commit.

Hello, i had a couple of cotton tots to try but totally dont like them now and only go with bamboo for a shaped as there so much softer and absorbant - bambenio are relativly simlalrly priced and worth a try. The pistachio ones are lovely. I would try a few before you go down one road - i prefer pockets through the day and bambenios with a funky wrap for through long naps etc....but its all down to personal preference.

I would by different nappies for diffent situations, any idea how much your DS wees? It's hard to tell with a disposable but Tots are great for heavy wetters but are bulky, if he wees a lot then you may need boosters in with the sandy's. I think the sandy's are softer than the Tots after repeated washing and I do prefer the poppers, however it may be worth trying a bamboo or hemp nappy also.

I've got some (used) Sandies, and boosters, to sell - let me know if you'd like to buy one to try out.

bamboo do take longer to dry but are more absorbant you can compensate for this by getting a few extra, bambenio are slightly cheaper than bamboozles too - summers comming (i hope) so the lovely english summer will help to dry your pants! On the line lately its been a day for my bamboo to dry.

ok, what about pockets, how do they work and wich brands are best. it sounds a good idea to go with bamboo for night and naps etc, but i dont know much about pocket.
