Talcum powder stops squeaky floorboards.

fairgame84 · 18/11/2017 20:38

Can you lay on the floor on your front and slide yourself out?

Migraleve · 18/11/2017 20:39

You need a series of ropes and pulleys

I’m scared to move but I really want to go downstairs and put my tea on. I may try to slide out...

You have to wait until your certain the baby is sleeping soundly. Give it 10 mins.

Oh my I’ve been there. I feel you. We have s creaker right outside the door! No advice but lots of empathy!
The talc tip might be worth its weight in gold to try tomorrow.
Hope you get your pizza bread! And wine! Wine

Desmondo2016 · 18/11/2017 21:41

Where do you put the talc? I marked out 3 spots that didn't creak on the floor and stepped it out over and over until I retained the muscle memory. Check out the big bang theory episode where they address this problem too. Hilarious!!!

Screamer1 · 18/11/2017 21:45

Definitely sliding out. Humiliating but can be effective. I'm yet to nail my technique though. DD will apparently be fast asleep and quite often as soon as I start the slide she senses it.

It's like she's holding me hostage.
