Anyone with any experience of the popolini ultrafit or the motherease multifit?

Thinking of trying these nappies as need a few new ones for ds and am thinking a btp would be useful if we have another baby. Has anyone used them, and if so what did you think of them? I have read a few reviews of both types and the one thing people seem to question is how well the aplix will last one them as it is only a thin strip. Has anyone used them for a long time and can vouch for their longevity? I'm looknig at these in particular as they are supposed to have a higher rise than most btp and ds has a very long body so I thought these would be suitable. My motherease onesize is no longer high enough in the rise for him to wear.

ive got some poppolinis and yes the velcro strip is thin but i have had no problems, as long as you keep the velcro lint free. i pick it out regularly to keep it nice and clingy. when they are a bit old and you fasten them, they look like they will come undone, you know when the fabric sort of bends away from the velcro round the edges where it gets rubbed against clothes etc? i find all brands fold at the velcro like this.
they looklike they will but they dont. none of mine have anyway.
they are a nice soft nappy for the legs and belly etc. they washup well. they hardly ever hold a stain. they are very adjustable and genourous for toddlers. saying that i find them a bit generous on ds2 who is 2 in july. if i have them open right out he needs a good tight wrap otherwise they hand a bit so for me they dont work under wool atm, not for day anyway. ds1 is rather skinny though.
hope some of that helps!
a good nappy i would say.

hang a bit, not hand a bit.
i didnt preview that and its a bit of a slurge so if you want me to clarify anything, i will! lol

Thank you lady of the flowers. I'm off to order one now. Ds is slim, but not really slim so they should be ok. My main concern was that the velcro would stop working really quickly but as your's hasn't I'll give them a try. What's the absorbancy like? and did you try them on you ds from birth?

the absorbancy is fine. excellent for daytime. they come with quite a hefty booster too if i remember correctly so i have used them for car journeys.
have used them on ds2 aswell who is 7 months and he is fine in them but didnt have them from birth.

I tried the ME multifit. I couldn't get them to fit right at all. I gave up in the end. DS is remarkably skinny though. this is a nappy review blog set up by an MNer - it covers most nappies, I think!
