When do you give baby a pillow?

My little girl is about 20 months, not sleeping so well but thats nothing new - i was laying next to her last night with no pillow and thought, oh, how uncomfortable. When would it be a good time to introduce a pillow as in when would it be safe and advantageous?

they are considered ok from 1 year although I used a goi goi pillow with ds from a few weeks old and he still has it at 6 months (supposed to help with flat head syndrome)

My DD had her first pillow at 2 years old when we moved her from cot to toddlerbed !!

pillows are safe from 12mo - try a small, flat one but don't be surprised if it doesn't help

dd2 has one but never uses it, nor does our 5 year old, but does look n ice on the bed when it's made!!

my dd had her first pillow at the age of 2 but ive noticed that in her sleep she shoved the pillow out of the way!

My dd1 has only just got a pillow, a flat one at that and she is nearly 3. Purely to keep her in one place. I dont believe in pillows for little ones, if you need to raise them when they have a cold or something I always raise the base of the cot or bed instead.
