I usually use tots bots rainbow during the day for dd (20 months). However, she has really started to be a wriggley pain at nappy changing times. So- have invested in a swaddlesbees pocket and a fuzzi bunz.
I have 2 serts for the swaddlebbes- hmp and microterry- am I supposed to use both? or would the microterry be ok.
Also- do you need to put a paper/ fleece liner in these for the poo?
Any other tips when using these nappies? Or any other nappy I should be trying?
Thanks

I just use the one insert, but a lot of people say they need both.

The liners - depends on the poo situation. If it is normal fairly solid poo then I don't bother, if things are a bit loose for a few days, then I do!

swaddlebees never tried but we have 1 fuzzibunz.i dont use liner as its fleece inner so everything comes off easy.i use justmicrofibre cloth in day at night or on long car journey i put allsorts in.what size are you using?my lo is 15 months and i brought large but not sure if too big, find getting poppers in right place hard!we were using mainly terries but ds has got wiggly too!i brought couple of minkis.

They have just come today. I bought the fuzzi petite for dd as I think the large would be too big- she uses the ME m/l size wrap so assumed the petite would fit. She is sleeping now so haven't managed to try it on her.
THe swaddlebee has had 2 pre washes and will that on her when she wakes up!!

do you think a slinki minki would be suitable for night?

I use the hemp inserts for Fuzzis found the micro terry hopeless for DD ho has always been a heavy wetter, don't bother with liners but then I don't use them in an nappy

kittypants · 10/04/2007 21:30

they are quite big yes.we also have a slinki minki but not tried it at night, think it all depends on how you stuff it!our minkis are new so still playing with them!

Hi

Have used slinki minkis for 3 years at night. One of the best but depends on what you stuff with. I would now try a bamboo prefold as they are becoming available. I used a very heavyweight hemp insert and it worked well for us with a heavy wetter.

I tried a swaddlebee stuffable for my ds but he is a pretty heavy wetter and I have found that I had to fold a quarter of the front of the micro terry down so that is is doubled up at the front, then have a hemp booster folded in half too. Still doesnt last long.

Really want to try a slinki minki yoyo pullup though as the swaddlebee was tight in the largest size. Might be worth a look?
