What do you store toys in?

We have a 19 month old and at the moment we have a massive wicker basket but it's now very full and stuff is now piled by the side!

Please could I ask for your toy storage solutions?

Great Little Trading Company storage range

We love the Trofast range by Ikea. As you would expect it is affordable, durable and they are going to sell it forever so you can add to it as the clutter grows!

The floor. We have a bunch of ikea boxes and cupboards but the kids mainly use the floor.

goodbeans · 01/10/2017 07:46

An old bureau, painted with chalk paint (quick job), then IKEA Storage boxes inside. We don’t have a separate playroom so it means that with the doors shut on the bureau the sitting room can look like an adult space.

RedBlackberries · 01/10/2017 07:48

I was going to say those ikea fold up boxes. We're an original bunch huh?! Grin

wavesandwellies · 01/10/2017 07:52

kallax and the fabric boxes in the living room. trofast in the toy room. under bed storage in dds bedroom.

NotCitrus · 01/10/2017 07:54

Those canvas boxes, Lego in large plastic underbed boxes, and the entirety of under dd's loft bed hidden by a curtain. Kids aged 10, 9, 6...

Marmite27 · 01/10/2017 07:55

HollyBollyBooBoo · 01/10/2017 07:57

Trofast, 3 runs if it in DDs built in triple wardrobe so once those doors are closed it's all out of sight!

Tk maxx have lovely storage bags.
Of which we have a few.
I don't know why as the floordrobe is the preferred place of storage. . .

Summerdays2014 · 01/10/2017 17:21

I'm an IKEA fan. We have both kallax and trofast!

smedrock · 01/10/2017 20:02

My husband tends to be much more strict than I do. He's a good Dad but not the 'fun Daddy' type. The kids respect him but lately he is constantly pulling my 8yo dd up on relatively minor things (like talking w mouth full or not putting something away). I can see that her self esteem is taking a hit and she tells me she is finding him difficult at times. She is a very sensitive and thoughtful child. Don't get me wrong,
he cooks and does bedtimes, laundry etc...and it's not shouting or aggression...a good person but just a serious person. 1950s dad! How can I support them both?
