Hi all,
This is my first post and I have a little boy who is 6 days old! I am exhausted! He's currently napping and I have found myself in dire need of some me time! Seeing family and friends has been wonderful but I hoped to speak with some other people in the same position as me now!!! I wanted to post to see what all you other mums/dads do to enjoy some me time?
Thank you :)

Congratulations the only new time I got at that point was the occasional shower just to manage your expectations!

Activities other than looking after baby, I'd prioritise in the following order...

Going to the loo
Eating/drinking
Showering, brushing teeth etc
Housework

Probably about as exciting as it gets at this stage. It gets easier after a while!

I agree with new2014me. I was in hospital until day 5 and then from day 10 until day 14 so don't push yourself.

Nice walks with baby in a sling or pram, reading or watching to while feeding or when you feel up to it breast feeding support group (if appropriate) and mum social groups are good.

Thanks everyone, I appreciate your comments :) think I may try a bath later on and hand baby over to my partner for an hour... see how that goes!!
