Ex wants to jump from 90 minute visits to overnights

Just seeking initial reactions...
My three year old has fortnightly, 90 minute visits with exh, almost always at soft play, but occasionally park. I don't know where he lives, but presume a 100 miles away, where we used to live together, until he left us.
I appreciate just highlights, but my reaction is what?????, child barely knows him, have no idea where/with whom lives, he has no idea of basic routine/parenting style, as isn't involved in any way in parenting. Am I overreacting, in just saying no?

Instead of simply saying no, why not ask him these questions?
Why does he only see his child for 90 minutes?

Is there a reason he only sees him for such a short time? If there's a genuine reason for this then I imagine it'd be too much to go to overnight from 90 minutes.

Yeah that's not sensible.

When my ex did this I sent a message back something like

"I'd be happy to work up to overnights as I think this would be great for X but I think it's too big of a jump at the moment. What about having X [suggest 4-5 hour stretch on usual day] for now and we'll see how it goes?"

He will invariably say no thanks (because he wants the overnights either to impress a new GF or because he thinks he can get a reduction in child maintenance/claim extra benefits) with or without a tirade of abuse so you can go "Okay no worries see you normal time on Sunday" and carry on with your life as normal.

If he does by some strange miracle actually agree that building up slowly is a good move, then that's great too!

No, if you don't know where he lives, how do you know where she'll be?
If he travels 200 miles to see her, why only 90 minutes?
I'd want a lot more information and a much slower build up to overnights with mutual cooperation and honesty. This is a child, not a dog, and the whole situation seems odd.

What BertieBotts says- great idea, we need to build contact up so it will work how about x y z...
