Thomas Underpants

Potty training is looming for my ds (just over 2 1/2). We have some 'Bob' underpants, but I'd really like to get him some 'Thomas' ones anyone seen any?

Ours were from Mothercare but haven't bought any recently (we moved onto Nemo)

So many answers so quickly! Our Asda haven't any but will try Woolies & BHS. Unicorn, I've just put a reply to your DLP question! Ds isn't really interested either but if he's trained he can go to playgroup in September so I thought summer hols is best time to try when we're not dashing around to school, toddlers, gym club etc etc! When I did it with dd (now nearly 6) we just stayed in for a week but it's not so easy with number 2!

Hi Theresa we have similar age kids...training dd (who's 5) was a doddle... but they say girls are easier (well in that respect!!)
Are you using potty for ds - I'm tempted to just try straight with the loo. either way he is still not interested (I ask if he has done a poo- when he obviously has... he says NO!!!).

mumbojumbo · 14/07/2004 09:44

Hi

Got some for ds1 in Tesco.
Good luck with the potty training.....I'm in the same boat as ds1 is also just over 2 1/2!

foxinsocks · 14/07/2004 09:55

you'll need to try a big Woolies (or a Woolies with lots of clothes). Our local one didn't have any but the big Woolies had loads (and ds proudly pulls down his trousers to show people his thomas now )

I found training no.2 harder as well because we couldn't stay in as much. It took a bit longer and I had to take loads of clothes changes out with us when we left the house. But now he is pretty much OK (he's 3 in Nov) but he still has a few accidents a week!

THERESA · 14/07/2004 11:30

Got the last pack from ourlocal Woolies, which is a 'medium' sized one. I'm ashamed to say that it's within walking distance but I hardly ever go in. Unicorn, my ds is exactly the same when he's had a poo. Shakes his head and says no, when we can all smell it!
Thanks everyone for your help!

woolworths have them...
let me know how it goes... my ds (same age) is not remotely interested at the moment!

honeybunny · 19/07/2004 19:00

Just been training my ds2 at 2.3yr with great success. We got Thomas pants from Woolies. Bob the builder were equally popular too! Good luck.

Did no one else have the problem of their child deliberately weeing in the pants so that "I can have Scoop pants now, mummy!" ?? I ended up buying plain boring Tescos' Value pants at 75p for 2.
