10 month old being randomly sick in the mornings

Hi everyone! Hope it someone has had he same thing so can advise the best thing to do. My 10 month old is teething. For the last 2 1/2 weeks she has been being sick with her morning milk. Like projectile- all over everything! But not everyday. So she keeps catching me out. She eats normally and has her afternoon and evening milk with no problem. I've been to the doctors and they have said it's a virus?? But surely that would be the case if she was sick all the time?? Has anyone else had this? Thanks

I found teething involved random vomiting too. Somehow increased snot production so chunks of mucas amongst the curdled milk (lovely). My GP reckoned that their larynx are still floppy at that age and are not good at clearing crud so stuff that settles overnight essentially is cleared by a good morning vomit. Although unpleasant it's a good thing apparently. If it's any consolation it does wear off. Although it took three months...

Thanks for that! That's the most useful info I've had so far. That does make sense I suppose. It just makes her so sad! Did you find your little one was ok with evening milk?

Us too with the random vomming with teething. Perhaps all the drool upsets their stomachs? Mine was a very sicky baby and now at 17 months is getting his molars and that still seems to involve the occasional bit of milky sick (evening bottle not morning though).

Ok with evening milk generally but sometimes the odd 4am vomit mixed in just for fun. Normally vomiting in the night would start off with a cough though.

It is horrid for them little sad faces looking at you as if to say what just happened and why haven't you fixed it? It does pass you just have to grit your teeth, be reassuring and wait it out.

When my ds was 10 months he had a bit of a virus (throat red and temp, nothing much) and taking solids and sometimes milk made him gag and vomit for at least a week iirc.

Could she be constipated? Little ones often vomit due to that.

No not constipation she's a good pooer! Smile
