Can I use a face flannel as a booster for a prefold nappy overnight?

I haven't done overnight yet - he has only just started sleeping through and I'm terrified of changing anything - but I am nearly out of disposables, and NOT buying any more!

yes but a micerfibre cloth would be better.

Don't see why not.

(You know that shaped one I sent....I use them overnight without a booster and haven't had a leak yet)

LOL won't use it on my face - will use a distinctive one!

I will try the shaped one Jelley, thank you. How wet is wet though? I have never had a leak, but does the whole nappy get saturated before it leaks, or just a bit of it?

he tends to wee in one patch all the time!

I fold the flap so he has extra layers at the front and after a 12 hour night the whole nappy is wet, but still no leaks.

(DP put him in a disp last week, and he woke up after 10 hours in wet clothes! The disp was soaked at the front and still dry at the back, so I'm guessing the real nappy wicks round the whole nappy rather that up and out of the front.)

I boost ds's nappy with a flannel when I've run out of microfibre cloths

colditz · 31/03/2007 22:26

Cool, I do that in the day with it - fold the flap over so it is all at the front.

Another question then

I use disinfectant (generic dettol type stuff) in my wash, so that I know all the poo is gone. Am I likely to damage the wraps doing thisd? They are Bambio Meos

...?

don't know about damaging the wraps but washing at 60ºC will disinfect.

colditz · 01/04/2007 00:00

Apparently can't wash the wraps at 30.
