What are your 'must have' baby buys?

I hate to waste money on things that seem like a fad but we received Ewan the dream sheep as a gift when ds3 was born and it's invaluable. I've just bought a Sophie la girafe today as all other teethers seemed to hurt when ds3 tried to chew, this seems perfect.

So my question is what have you splurged on (or not necessarily) and found to be invaluable?

Sleepyhead (well worth it)
Video monitor and respiratory mat
Swivel car seat (Cybex sirona)
Decent breastfeeding clothes that didn't make me feel a frump
Jojo postnatal leggings

I splurged on a snuzpod crib for dc3. We had moses basket for the first 2dc. I love the crib. I can gently rub his belly to settle him down without having to move , and have also done the whole shush patting thing to settle him, from the comfort of my pillows... worth every penny.

Definitely Sleepyhead, we bought the small one and big one and both were worth every penny

My 5 week old was really struggling to settle when she was put down and she just didn't seem to get comfy. I got her a snuggle pod type pillow in the Aldi baby event and she absolutely loves it! I'm a little bit wary of putting her in her bouncer seat for too long so this is perfect because she is laid flat too.

My little girl also didn't take to the tommee tippee bottles we had bought so we tried the MAM bottles and that are great. They are self sterilizing which is great if you are out of the house and don't have a sterilized bottle but I use the main sterilizer when I'm at home. They also look really pretty Smile

We also have the Tommee Tippee nappy bin, which I know some people say is a waste of money but we really like it, it really does stop any smells and it's really convenient to use instead of having to take each one outside.

Thanks everyone, I've heard those sleepyhead/baby nest things are great but 'touch wood' we don't really have any sleep issues with ds3. I might consider a nappy disposal you know, we only have a fortnightly bin collection so flies are a real problem even with nappy bags!

I wish I'd got a 'side sleeper crib' ds3 is in his cot now and I do get up several times before I fall asleep to check he's breathing 😏 xxx

I'm the same I really wish I had got a side sleeper but my little one is a bit of chunk so I think she will be in the big cot before long!

You can get some really good deals on the nappy disposals with the cartridges included. Anything that makes life more convenient when you have a new born or well worth it to me!

I must admit I have wasted so much money though, especially on clothes!
