What do you do with your toddler when you have a shower?!

Sounds like such a simple problem. We have recently moved to a quite large house where before we were in a small place with no stAirs. I'm scared of her falling down stairs, out of windows, in to the pond or encountering another hazard. She can open stairgates.
I also have a baby who would like to nap around the time I would shower but couldn't today due to screaming toddler.

At 2+ I just put the TV/ipad on.

These stair gates are impossible to open (even for most adults without practice) www.safetots.co.uk/babydan-no-trip-screw-mounted-gate-white-72cm-78cm.html?gclid=EAIaIQobChMI6J7v8N_h1QIVIgvTCh1NngreEAQYASABEgIe7PD_BwE

I put the tv on upstairs, her baby on the bed and the toddler watches tv and pops in and out to talk to me when I'm showering
She can't open the gate though, I dread to think how I'd manage if she could

try to forget I have one I usually shower when he's in bed or I wait until DH is home. Failing that, I put him in the (empty)bath with my phone or iPad and he's enthralled

I think get better stair gates. My dd is younger but I remove all things she likes to eat like the loo brush and put them out of reach then I close her in the bathroom with me and wedge my foot in the shower screen runner so she can't break in. She runs around throwing whatever she can find in the bath or bashing on the screen. Sometimes I sacrifice the end of a toilet roll for her to chuck around Blush. Nothing like a moody toddler to make you shower fast!

From all the responses, it seems it'd be easiest to shower with a toddler. I bathe with DD quite a lot, sometimes I shower while she has morning nap. I've found taking a bath together can be a really relaxing and bonding experience. My next challenge will be bathing with two DCs as I'm planning baby #2! God, we're going to need a big bath Grin

IDo yeah I think that's probably the best solution... unless you have two children who bloody hate showers like mine do!

Ps I've just showered while my 2 played Happy Land in their bedroom. They've moved on to Duplo now but with any luck I'll get another 20 mins to dry my hair!
