Things to do with a 2 year old and a 12 year old

Following my much earlier thread asking for suggestions for things to do with my son all day when it's raining (containing much MN creativity, check it out), please could I have your suggestions for fun things to do when my step daughter aged 12 is also here over the summer holidays?

My thoughts so far:

Swimming

12yo and I make potato stamps and 2yo stamps with them

I get them to make greetings cards together, the 12 year old in charge of the design and the 2 year old in charge of doing lots of scribbling, e.g. 2yo "colours in" a page which the 12yo then cuts into a heart shape and sticks onto a card made out of a used cereal box.

12yo makes a fresh batch of play doh for the 2yo. 12yo will probably play with a bit too, there's a craze for slime at her school... plus you can cook it in the oven to make it go solid, so she could make more permanent things to keep, e.g. xmas decorations.

The 12yo uses tape to mark out a road map on the floor which the 2yo can push his cars around. She'll enjoy getting artistic with it and adding traffic lights and houses etc, and he'll love anything to do with cars (and his big sister!).

Any more thoughts? Ideas much appreciated!

They all sound nice activities but will the 12 year old be able to sometimes meet her friends over the break?

I have a 14 year old and a 2 year old. They spend about an hour a day being daft together, chasing each other, football, water pistols, wrestling! DS2 thinks DS1 is the best thing ever.
They don't really do many activities together like you're going to do as DS1 is out with his friends a lot and doesn't really want to come to the places we take DS2. He will come swimming and occasionally to the park if a football is involved!

Have a walk, collecting things and make a collage out of what you find.

Baking and decorating buns.

Make sock puppets and put on a show.

Thank you for suggestions!

DSD will be a long way away from her friends when with her dad so no chance to meet up with friends while she's here unfortunately.

This also means DS and DSD only see each other in the school holidays, which means "being daft together" has a bit more mileage than if they saw each other every day. But she's here for a long stretch this time so I want to have a few activity ideas ready for when some structure is needed. IME if I don't make a fair bit of effort with this then she spends all day on youtube on her phone.

DS is obsessed with cars and DSD will probably want to play Super Mario on the Wii, so there's another thing maybe. Assuming he just watches and doesn't try to eat the controller.

I keep meaning to take them geocacheing, the 2yo can walk a good way now. We could also make things to leave at the caches.
