I mentioned it to her health visitor she told me to ignore it she's doing it for attention I just cantt... my dd has been grinding her teeth the crunch and the scrape It's horrible me and her dad tried ignoring but she enjoys doing this so it gets to a point we have to force her to stop cause it's horrible

Anyone had this problem?

I wouldn't say she's doing it for attention.
Imagine never having teeth then suddenly having them.Shes just exploring what she can do with them

Do u reckon it will cause damage?

My DD did this too when her first teeth came through. I think it's just them getting used to it. I hear it's quite common

No my dd this when she had the 2 bottom and 2 top front ones.
She has 14 teeth now at 17 months and doesn't ever do it anymore .

Good luck 🍀
Ds2 did this and the dentist could actually tell, at age 2 Sad. Thankfully he grew out of it before his permanent teeth came in... (he was about 5, and inky did it in his sleep).

I keep having to stop her she done it for 5mins straight! Then I had to step in I don't think the health visitor telling me to leave her was the right things it sounds awful
