i have
nappies
rainbow bots
wam bamboo
nappy nation
& baby beehinds BTP

wraps
ME airflow
tot bots pul (white with red spots)
& Imse Vimse Organic Cotton Wrap

i assume i sould pre wash them all a few times

any ideas on how many times? Should i stick them all in together? How much washing powder? (i used fairy non bio liquid, is that ok?) Do i need to dry inbetween washes? Do wraps need as much prewashing as the nappies?

Also some advice on liners (i have a roll of paper ones and some silk ones on order, the tots bots has a built in fleece liner) Do all nappies need liners? what is best for a breastfed newborn

Boosters - are these essential on a newborn?

I just love this place so great to get other peoples ideas, views etc in just a click of a mouse!

TIA x

Chuck 'em all in together, was at 60deg - I use two tabs of powder and a cup of white vinegar (keep them soft). Wraps don't need as many washes and I'd do three pre-washes

Don't necessarily need liners, BF poo is v runny so better if it soaks in IMO! Shouldn't need boosters when they are tiny as you are changing very frequently and the nappies contain the wee well!

One prewash on anything man-made (so fluffles and PUL wraps), 3 preferably for anything natural fibres.

I use about 1/4 scoop of powder and just wash on 40deg - only powder for the first wash and no need to dry between washes.

Chuck em all in together unless you have dark coloured ones.

Boosters - depends on the nappy - wbb/bambineo you need to use them all the time (the one that comes with it).. most other nappies unless they come with a booster, then no need apart from nights.

Oh liners - I always use them... prefer fleece for newborns because it just goes straight through and washes off but keeps it away from the bum.
