Normal newborn sleeping

Hello , can anyone advise me on newborn sleeping patterns. I know I'm probably being a silly worrier but I have a 4 day old dd. When we were in hospital for 2 nights and the first night home she cluster fed all night, from 10ish to 6/7ish , wouldn't be put down and would only sleep in my arms. Cue me stressing I'm never gonna sleep etc, (at this time if only had about 2hours sleep since Saturday, she was born on tues morning) last night I fed her around 11, snuggled for bit and then put her to sleep. I waiting for her to cry but she didn't and she slept for 3hours. Of course I didn't as a I was worried about her!! I had to wake her to feed where she had 15 mins and then fell asleep again until 6ish where I had to wake her again. She just had another little feed and we are cuddling but I'm concerned she hast cried once yet and is so sleepy. She does have slight jaundice so I'm trying to feed her as much as possible and make sure she has sunlight etc. I know it's only been one night and it might be different tomorrow but I'm a worrier. Is this normal in anyone else's experience? Could she follow sleeping at night due to the proper breast milk which can yesterday afternoon?

Also to say get poos and wees are regular.

Any comments would be great to reassure me??

Sounds like my baby, she slept for the first two weeks solid and I had to wake her for every feed. She only cried when I changed her nappy or babygrow.
If you are at all worried please call your HV or midwife to get your baby checked.

Agree that if you are concerned about her sleepiness, you must ring the MWs. Other than that I'd wake her every 3 hours in the night while she has jaundice and then try to relax.

The sure sign that she is getting enough is the amount of wet and dirty nappies. Have a read of what to expect in the early weeks and Bfing a sleepy baby.

The MN forum on infant feeding is usually useful.

Congratulations too Thanks
