Full fat milk question

Ds is 10months I know he can't have full fat milk as his main source of milk until he is a year old. But can he have some in a beaker as a drink once in a blue moon? Not to replace his normal feeds but just a treat because he loves it in his cereal. Tia

Yes it's fine for them to have in cooking, cereal, as an occasional drink but they need the extra nutrition from formula or breastmilk as a main drink til 1.

I'm sure some will tell you no, but both of mine had a drink of cows milk at that age.

Eldest had weaned herself off the breast by then, and wasn't a fan of formula. She had a cup of regular milk at afternoon tea.

Youngest still breastfed but demanded what her sister has, so has cows milk afternoon tea too.

Both apparently fine.

It's fine for them to have it, the issue is just that it's not supposed to replace breast milk or formula until after 12 months.

Yes I think it's fine. And if he likes it and has a balanced diet from food then you can begin the weaning process. My DS was fully onto cows milk instead of formula by 13 months, and we started by swopping one of his bottles (the lunch time one) for a cup of whole milk about 11 months. I doubt a month makes much difference.
