How to store baby stuff?

Not sure if this is the right place to post but wanted some advice on how to store the baby stuff we don't use anymore.

We have a lot of stuff we no longer use such as the Moses basket, crib, clothes etc. I want to keep it all in case we are ever brave enough to have another, but I'm not sure how to go about storing it all.

We have a loft but stuff gets damp up there, I'd be concerned that the basket and crib would get mouldy or the clothes damp. Any tips on how you stored yours or what you used? DP has suggested those plastic bags you can vacuum the air out of but not sure about what we could use to cover the furniture?

Thanks in advance.

I was so adamant I'd never do it again but already with DS being five months old I'm missing him being a tiny newborn!

I'm doing 75lt plastic boxes with lids, no idea if it'll stop the damp because I haven't had a second baby yet to get the clothes back out for.

Vacuum bags might be better as they are sealed up fully.

Is there anywhere you could store Moses basket in the house - top of wardrobe? Clothes you can wash not so easy with basket so might be better in a bin bag to keep the dust off on top of a wardrobe.

I'm not planning on another but keeping everything just on the off chance I change my mind.

I have got vacuum sealed bags for all my stuff and then stored them into the age groups. Toys have gone into plastic storage boxes, but as they aren't air tight nothing fabric that can't be washed.

Figure if I don't need it my DD can have what she'd like for her children, if she wants them of course

We got moisture proof plastic boxes and a lot of vacuum bags. So everything was vacuum bagged and put into a box before being out into tree attic.

We managed to get some vacuum bags big enough to fit the Moses basket too so that's in the attic.

Maybe get some bags of silca gel to help absorb any rogue moisture and double bag if needed?

We bought moses basket and cot second hand (and new mattress) so just sold them then bought second hand again for DC2. Kept clothes in vacuum bags at my parents house.

Thanks everyone, silica gel is a good idea and I'll see if we can get some plastic tubs/vacuum bags big enough for everything.

I don't really have the space to keep the Moses basket anywhere other than the loft unfortunately, just too bulky! In hindsight I wouldn't have bothered with buying it in the first place as DS was such a big baby, hence why he ended with a crib and is now in his big cot!

Iver- I went to The Range today and bought some vacuum bags - fitted a carrycot and the Moses basket in one which was fab! They do all different sizes and very cheap. All the clothes now put away - made me a bit sad knowing he's done with them!
