DD1 is 5 and I'm just not sure when DP will have to stop taking her. She wouldn't manage on her own yet but it feels a little weird now she is older.

Where I go it says 8.

From a tread last week I think this is the usual cut off point in most places

I guess it depends if there are cubicles or not?

8 seems so old. I guess if I'm that bothered I'll just have to squeeze my lardy arse into a cossie and go with them

would feel odd letting my 8 yr old son into men's changing on his own though.

wildwoman · 23/03/2007 18:39

but on the flip side if you brought him into my changing room it might feel weird for me and my wobbly bits!

The pool we normally go to has Male/Female and Family changing rooms.

8 round here as well.
probadly best get her used to using the womens changeing room with you there as well before expecting her to go solo.

8 here too. DS1 is now 8 and I hate sending him to the mens changing rooms when we got swimming. For some reason the men's isn't so well staffed as the women's and like DimpledThighs I have concerns when I send my DS1 to the men's changing rooms on his own. Although he has had no problems and is quite chuffed with his new found freedom.
