In the night garden?

Ok so my son is 8 months old (nearly 9 months) and every night after his tea we watch in the night garden and then he has his bath (totally my doing as it's not like he can put the tv on change it to 711 in time for in the night garden) but he absolutely loves it! It pretty much hypnotises him for he while half an hour? It's on for. It calms him and by the time he's out the bath he's definitely ready for bed.

My question is WTF? Confused. Does anybody actually know what's going on? Is it supposed to be someone's dream or what?
I only ask out if curiosity as our minds work completely different to children's. My only thought it someone was smoking something pretty strong when writing it.

Haha .
Dd 16 months love this show.
We do dinner. Bath. In the night garden. Quiet time with milk then teeth and bed .

Wtf does happen though !? Always wondered the same thing

Strange isn't it how they are so mesmerised by it lol.

We do dinner, in the night garden, bath bottle and bed.

I've seen some funny theories on mumsnet over the years about "what is ITNG" all about...

Whatever it is it works! My little girl is 18m and she loves it. Laughs along and follows the story and then off to bed! We're going to the live show in august and I'm actually excited for that myself Grin

Whitelisbon · 07/07/2017 13:07

My 3 youngest love it, I used to plonk dd3 in her bouncy chair in front of it when she was teeny so that I could get the dts ready for bed, it was the only way I could put her down.
It's weird, ds1 is 11, and he was terrified of it when it started (he was about a year ish), he's still not keen!

If you get the opportunity, take him to ITNG Live. It will blow his tiny little mind!

Sad confession but I actually cried a bit when we took my son and I saw his reaction - he was absolutely ecstatic!

There are some weird episodes, have you seen the one where random fountains called tiddles spring up from the ground (it looks like a wee!) or the one where the tombliboos trousers fall off on the pinky ponk? And what's with Upsy Daisy's skirt? It's odd!

BringMeTea123 · 07/07/2017 13:13

@Whitelisbon I can see why he would be terrified of it lol. It's those massive ballon things that are really creepy too 😳.

@Gowgirl and @IllBeAtTheSpa I'm not looking forward to the day he asks if we can go to the live one. At least if it's in the tv I can switch off and just have it in the background while I tidy up. Although there's nothing like seeing the delight of something on their face!
