When would you live your baby overnight for first time?

Dp's got a big birthday coming up and ideally he'd like a night away just the two of us.

Our baby will be 2 months old.

Is that too young to leave with grandparents overnight?

Do I book a night away but later in the year?

Or do we take baby with us?

It also might be a lot to ask of grandparents depending on how well the baby sleeps. Both mine were up for milk numerous times a night at that age.

My was first was Dtwins and didn't leave them over night for 3 years. Ds3 was at 8 weeks but had contact and pics sent, had a really nice time with dp. Only you will know when feel ready.

As others have said there's no right answer, it's up to how you feel. DS will be 17 months in 2 weeks when we are going to a wedding and leaving him with GPs for first time. Even then we're actually coming back late in thd end so it's more about them putting him down, nobody else has ever put him to bed before. Sure it will be fine!

My DS was a few weeks old when I left him with my DM overnight.

He's now 14 weeks & having a sleep over with his DGP Thursday night!
