Pocket money

DH and I are thinking of starting pocket money for DD when she turns five in a couple of months. Does £1 a week seem reasonable? It seems a lot to me compared with what I got but I do realise there's such a thing as inflation. Grin Still debating whether to link it to chores or behaviour.

Can anyone recommend a way of saving it (if she wants to) that will help her see how much she's got? As a child I had a money box that sorted the coins into columns and marked on each one how much they added up to, but I haven't been able to find anything similar.

Hey

My mum recently got my brother a digital money box. He loves it. You could try that. I think she got it off wowcher but you could just try googling it x

My 6 year old gets £3 a week. She keeps it in a little money box. She has the choice to save it or if she wants something in shop she can use her own money for that.
