Hi my little one is in the sleepyhead during the day in the living room, she Hates the moses basket, I was wondering, when she starts rolling that the sleepyhead will not be safe to use, I was wondering what other mums use in the living room and what your opinions to use are

Put sleepyhead on Floor

chloechloe · 06/06/2017 07:47

The Sleepyhead should be on the floor anyway! I doubt she would be able to roll in it as there isn't much room for her to lift her leg up and turn?

Blanket on floor as long as there is nothing that could be dangerous if she can roll to it.

Vics100pink · 07/06/2017 21:39

Floor not a option as we have a dog, he is as good as gold but he is still a dog at the end of the day

Putting baby on a surface vs putting baby on the floor shouldnt make any odds for the dog. Baby is safest on the floor in the sleepyhead and not left alone with the dog.

Fwiw we used a Tiny Love Three in One Napper.

Lovelilies · 07/06/2017 21:45

I used the pram with the carrycot for daytime napping when they weren't on me or in the sling

Mysterycat23 · 07/06/2017 21:46

We had a lie flat pram (silver cross sleepover) which doubled up for daytime naps in the living room. Got second hand and bought a new mattress online for under £20.

Applesandpears23 · 07/06/2017 21:50

Carry cot from the pram.

welshweasel · 07/06/2017 21:52

Sleepyhead on floor until old enough to nap in cot upstairs.

nachogazpacho · 07/06/2017 22:02

Baby gate to separate baby and dog.

malin100 · 07/06/2017 22:02

Carrycot from the pram until you're happy not being in the same room all the time then napping in normal cot upstairs. Advice is 6 months but some do it sooner. I found an angelcare monitor helped me stop worrying when I got to the stage of putting her upstairs on her own for naps/going to bed before me. I think I started doing this when she had a bedtime routine, around 3 months maybe, but kept her in my room for about 7 months.

Xmasbaby11 · 07/06/2017 22:03

Travel cot or carry cot from pram, we used.

cheminotte · 07/06/2017 22:05

Cot upstairs.

Applesandpears23 · 07/06/2017 23:22

Babies are safest in the same room as you for naps until 6 months. Also a lot easier to check on them if you don't have to go upstairs.

Eeeeek2 · 08/06/2017 09:23

I have a dog too and a child gate baby is only left the opposite side to the dog. If I go to the loo either baby or dog comes too.

Eeeeek2 · 08/06/2017 09:24

What about a travel cot then? But please don't leave the dog with the baby ever

Vics100pink · 11/06/2017 07:41

No guys I'm not that silly do comes with me if I leave the room, I have a travel cot so will use that I think to those who had a sleepyhead what age did they stop using it

I went on holiday when ds was nearly 6 months. He settled so well without it I'd decided not to use it once we got home.
