Entertaining 6 year old boy

Help please - my friend is coming over for the weekend in a couple of weeks with her son. I'm just looking for help with where to take him as I know this is the stage when they can sometimes start to say things are babyish. Ds is only 3 and dd 18 months so haven't quite got there yet.....Any suggestions as to sorts of things he might like doing that we can take all three of them to?

beach is always good if it's nice weather or how about a children's farm with tractor rides etc. Six year old boys would still be into that. Or soft play if it's bad weather or splash pool.

Get him a Transformer and he'll go anywhere he's bid and be fully absorbed

Picnic and football in the park, zoo, swimming, out for lunch to somewhere with a play area attached, bowling - even little ones can join in with the special ramps and barriers they usually provide! I have a DS(7) DD1(5) and DD2(2) and we manage lots of these things together.
Hope this is helpful. Is there a place of interest near to you? - we live in the midlands so have the space centre, twinlakes park, safari park, museums, national parks, etc.

Thanks I was thinking of the zoo but didn't know how that would go down. We're near the Science Musuem so there is always that too. Overtherainbow - just out of interest what is that combination of age gaps like? I am thinking of ttc at Christmas so would like to know!

I really enjoy watching the three of them interact with each other. DS loves to amuse DD2. DD1 likes to play grown up girly things with DD2. DS and DD1 have an age gap of 20 months so get on very well together - enjoy games, conversations, etc. DD3 was not planned btw, i thought my life had ended at the time!! Now though i would not change her or the others for the world. I feel if we just had the two older ones life would be quite dull.

Meant to say DD2 was not planned.

Thanks Overtherainbow that is what I hoped you'd say. I did plan dd and dd was born when ds was 19 months. However I was clearly mad as am a neurotic mother and the first 8 months were hell! I find myself thinking that having another when dd is 3 will be a breeze in comparison. Mind you I will be 36 if I do so will be even more knackered than I am now so still probably not a good idea. I'm hijacking my own thread now so better go.......
