Can anyone help this helpmate user, she asked this question: Anyone got any tips or tricks to help kids remember their b's and d's? My 7 year old still mixes them up all the time

d is formed by starting with an a. b is written bat first then ball. Does that make any sense whatsoever?? The bat is the long bit the ball is the round bit!?!??

Write the word bed and make it a picture of a bed and it's in alphabetical order. Not read the article though. Won't load.

At school we use the idea of a bed with the children.

Make two fists, thumbs facing you and put index fingers up, this creates a bed, if you look closely your left fist 'b' creates a letter 'b' and your right fist 'd' creates a 'd' shape. Then you can use this as a visual aid when writing.

Just coming on to suggest the exact same bed trick, with fists and thumbs. Works very well for DD and it's very cute as she always does it while reading!

Thumbs up, palms inwards makes a "bed". Left hand is "b", right is "d".

Bb's are for walking Dd's are for talking

Google Read Write Inc. There are little sayings for each letter to help children remember how to form their letters.
