Teething help!

I'm a first time mum to a nearly 5 month old baby and i was looking for advice on how to help get us through this hell! It stresses me out because he's such a content baby during the day but from 9pm he turns into a clingy crying mess. :( In an ideal world I'd take the pain away with a hug but sadly it doesn't work like that. I've tried bonjela and calpol but is there anything else I can try? He's breast fed so what happens most nights is that I feed him until he's asleep. I dont mind feeding him to sleep but I find it difficult to get him in to his bed after feeding him in mine . . . Arghh, he was a brilliant sleeper before this happened! :(
Thanks in advance :)

Thanks MrsDarkDestroyer the toy looks like it would be fun for my LO, easy for him to hold onto and saves him getting frustrated! Grin

Can I hijack? Does it matter how often I'm using ibrofofen or calpol ? Obviously within guidance - mine is 5 months and teething and I'm giving him less than 1ml about 2x a day which I know is way under the limits but I do seem to be giving it almost every day now - is it bad to give it too often?

Also I second dentinox. I actually tried that, bongela and calpol on my own guns and dentinox was the only one I could feel!

Excuse any spelling mistakes, haven't got my glasses on!

Hmmm I hadn't tried using anything on myself to test it .... In that case I'll try the dentinox and see if it helps.

Blue - I don't think it matters if you use it daily Smile

Have you considered an amber teething necklace or anklet. There's mixed opinion about how much difference they make but I've met enough mums who have told me their little ones teethed without major issues to dismiss it. DS isn't teething yet so can't tell you my experience. I've gone for an anklet as felt it was safer tucked under his sock but there are plenty of people who use necklaces.

I've heard of teething necklaces but haven't got any but I'll look into them thanks Smile

Apparently they work by being heated near the skin and have natural pain relieving properties.
