Yeah you should.

Freaky weirdy kids.

MamaG · 10/03/2007 13:49

not that they're angels, oh no, but the amount of MNers who posted on teh "things your toddler has done" who said that shocked me!

lol
i smeared ds's rear end with toothpaste instead of nappy cream last night...narrowly escaped cleaning his teeth with the latter..

madamez · 10/03/2007 21:41

SO he went to bed with a ring of confidence? (am I going to have to explain that to all the younger MNers...?)

hunkermunker · 10/03/2007 21:42

at ring of confidence - v good.

Mine haven't done this either, MamaG - there's time yet though I suppose!

MamaG · 11/03/2007 07:59

I'm afraid I need ring of confidence explaining

I think we may have jinxed ourselves Hunker and will be posting next week "OMG just found the DCs in the bath, eating each others poo, covered in sudocreme"

colgates advertising slogan used to be 'gives you the ring of confidence' then someone would smile and their teeth could gleam.

Not concerned, just grateful

Miaou · 11/03/2007 08:21

LOL! I enjoyed reading the thread (well, when I wasn't puking because of all the poo-eating references ), but felt a bit left out because my dc's have never done anything remotely like that!

hockeypuck · 11/03/2007 08:24

mine are weird like yours MamaG.

They've never weed on the sofa but 4 of my friends DCs have.

They've never drawn on my walls. But 2 of my friends DCs have (one the day after we painted the lounge)

They've never drawn in indellible pen (which they brought into the house with them) on my upholstered antique chair (but 1 of their friends did)

One of those nightmare toddlers did all 3 of the above - he's not allowed here anymore!!!

Admittedly though DS is only 10 months so there is plenty of time for him to ruin my proud mummy moments and bring me back to toddler reality

winniepoo · 11/03/2007 08:35

How old are they? - I'm sure there is still time lol!

MamaG · 11/03/2007 08:37

DD is 7 1/2 and DS has just turned 3

When I first saw the thread come up, I was thinking 'oh yes! dd was so bad, she pulled one of the slats out of the fence so she & neighbouring kids could get into each others gardens!' But actually, thats quite pathetic isn't it? So no, my dd hasn't done anything really bad either.

MamaG · 11/03/2007 08:41

ooh ooh I just remembered a couple of weeks ago, DS stood on a paint-tin lid and walked all around my bedroom while DH was sat on the bed playing xbox the tosser!

Yay, DS is normal!

OP posts:
MamaG · 11/03/2007 08:41

oops tosser is DH, not DS BTW

DS did turn on one of the cooker rings when I had (for the first time in EVER) left some of his dishes and bibs on it. Thence panic, choking smoke, hysterical phone call to NHS direct etc. But we are all still alive. But I'm a bit concerned that somehow, somewhere, some or other 'expert' is now going to recommend we show our DCs how to eat their own poo as some kind of essential mother-bonding experience...
