Well we all have very specific responsibilities so that we don't encroach on each other. That way we don't have a problem over who is doing what...
If we don't agree on something it first comes down to whose responsibilty it comes under but ultimately with the biggest decisions I defer to them - I've run businesses for about 10 years and they've done so for about 35 years :-)
Makes a Change is different - they defer to me as the person with the closest finger to the pulse... on the basis that my child is 2.6 and theirs are - well - older
It balances. But it can be hard. On the positive side you say things that otherwise would just fester if you were an employee - and that's good. None of us is afraid to REALLY say what we think because we know that in the end we're not going to really fall out!
I mean, we have done, but in the end it's made up and I feel I've been blessed with being able to get to know my family so well.
My aunt works there, too, and my brother, when he comes back home for visits from Ukraine where he lives, works and runs \link{http://www.accesscrimea.com/this}, and my cousins sometimes come in when they're on a break from college.
Other than the 20-odd employees it's a real family business!!!
