How much money did you get?

Hi all,
Wondering if anybody has been in a similar situation to myself?

Starting uni in September! Doing a Primary Teaching degree.
I have two children under 4 so both will require 3 days a week childcare.
DS1 will get 15 free hours
DS2 won't be entitled to free childcare

DH will be a SAHD and a carer for DS1.
DS2 will be in childcare 3 days a week so DH can have a break as DS1 is very hard work and requires a lot of background house work/appointment arranging and travelling to appointments.
We also want DS2 to have the social interaction benefits of a nursery.

I've just done an estimate on student loans and it looks like with a maintenance loan, adult dependent grant and childcare grant I could get like £7000 per term?! That's not including tuition fees! It seems like a lot?
Can anyone tell me if that's right?

Thanks!

err no I don't think that is right.

Can you go into the uni and speak to student services/finance guidance whatever they call it.

I got childcare grant of 1500 spread over the duration of the course, I am a single parent ft student, 1 child.

The calculator on the student finance website is pretty accurate. I'm going to uni in September for the first time. I have 2 school age children, dh works and earns above average but still under higher tax threshold. I'm entitled to £7200 for the first year. I'm going to apply for the childcare grant but don't think we'll be entitled to anything. Wrap around care will be around £50 per week for both children.

I got £13,500 this year and I'll get an estimated £15000 next year. It's great being a student! Free money!

You shouldn't be claiming childcare grant when there's a non-working parent.
