What best nappy cream

Hi all new mum here, what is the best nappy cream to use all the time on baby

I use metanium, great stuff! Hospital raved about it too

Hi, you shouldn't really need to use one all the time, bit I found sudacrem great and put it on at the first sign or any redness/soreness. The skin was always back to normal.by the next nappy change. I got some free in a bounty pack.

Another one for Sudocrem.

Nothing.

17 months and counting. Nothing.

Chamomile tea for a lot of redness, weleda calendula nappy cream for small amounts of red. No redness, nothing.

With regular nappy changes you shouldn't need to be putting cream on all the time I have a tube of metanium but never needed to put anything on my DD (4 months) yet!

Usually nothing, if slight redness Sudocrem, if that doesn't work Bepanthen.

Bepantham worked best for my DD.

It depends on DC I found. DC1 only needed sudacrem for poo-change nappies and never had nappy rash whereas DC2 needed a barrier layer with every single change and metanium to sort the nappy rash that still flared up sometimes.

Try not to use something all the time. It's best for their skin not to be smothered in ointment unless they need it. As others have said; metanium is great for when/if your baby gets nappy rash.

I agree, only use if necessary and sudocrem. Used it 3 or 4 times in a year.

I'd have yellow Metanium (I say yellow because they now do Metanium Everyday as well which is more like sudacrem) ready for bad nappy rash. I've only had to use that for dd and ds when they were teething. Then sudacrem for the rest of the time, but I agree I only put on if needed.

I don't understand why people say you shouldn't use any sort of cream at every nappy change, and only put some on if they get a bit red or sore. I though the whole point was to use the cream to prevent them getting red?
Anyway each to their own and all that.
We've always used Vaseline at every nappy change. Only thing that works for us.

I've never used a nappy cream as a matter of course with ds, just if he was particularly sore.

But sudacreme all the way, and not just for nappy rash, I use it for everything, cuts, scrapes, spots etc.

Bepathenum here. Only used it when she was sore. Not as an every day thing.

I quite like Bepanthen when I occasionally spot a bit of redness. I used Metanium when DS had a nappy rash after a virus and lots of diarrhoea.

I use bepathen at each change. Very small amount.

No rash on DD... 20months. And none on DS.

Bepanthen on most changes, also have some cocoa butter 'bottom cream' but they have changed it between me having ds and Dd and it's not as nice now.
Also the yellow metainium for dd as she is teething and getting very sore.

The yellow metanium is brilliant! Whenever DD had a flare of nappy rash it was like a miracle cream. DD is 10 now and I still have it in as I found it's great on minor burns or any sore/chapped skin
