Should I swap my med ME airflow for smalls or rikki?

Just bought some med motherease airflow wraps for dd but even though they fit around the waist, they are way too big for her around the legs.

They have said that I can swap them so should I swap them for smalls, which might not last long (she is just over 9lbs) or get the rikki med to last her (they said that the rikkis are best for slim legs)?

I have had the lg airflows for ds and love them over my wam-bamboos and terrys. I am currently using some tiny bambino mio wraps I got from my local council scheme which are velcro and seem fine but as dd is quite light, the med rikkis would last her to over age 1 (according to the centile she is on) and not sure that they would be less comfortable than the airflow when she is sitting up and trying to walk. Any one found this?

Go for the rikkis - or even the new style tots wraps, they're great, amazingly.

Or our new bamboo wraps - soon to be released - soooo soft and sort of rikki-ish style (velcro, gusset).

All best for slimmer legs with the gusset.

Sometimes the waist band can cause a problem - but mostly it's fine, otherwise noone would use them!! I've never had a problem myself.

I can't wait for my bamboo wrap to come

I prefer poppers so would go for the small airflows, but if you don't have a preference either way then the med rikkis would be more cost efficient.

Are the rikkis tight around the bottom? Would i be able to use terrys with them?

Also i want to use them for another baby (hopefully!) so does the velcro last as long?

The rikkis are fine with terries, and I was given a few that had been used on several babies and the velcro was still fine

Cheers Flame, think I might swap two for rikkis and keep two as airflow. Then I have two more to use now with my tiny wraps and also some airflow for comfort when she is bigger. I could use the velcro ones for night when she is flat on her back and not trying to sit up!

btw, love your tied dyed wbbs!

I think the rikkis are uncomfortable for a baby who is starting to sit up and i like the fact that with airflow you dont have to wonder if youve made them too tight. If the nappy is well tucked in and not left on till sopping wet it shouldnt matter much if the legs are a bit big. I went through all 5 sizes of airflow with dd1, from birth to 3 yo. she was sturdy but not fat.

do you recon i could go from small to large? Does anyone know the smallest and largest leg and waist measurment for the small airflow?

I'll measure in a minute for you
