deliberately weeing in nappy iyswim

DD2 was 2 in May: she's completely aware of when she wees and can even hold on to it for a while - but totally refuses to go on the potty or the kiddies' toilet seat. ie if she's running around naked and wants to do a wee, she demands to have a nappy on and gets quite upset. Any suggestion that maybe she should sit on the potty rather than have a nappy on is rejected out of hand. Do I let her deliberately wee in a nappy (which is kind of frustrating and I worry that it might become a habit) or do I try to push the potty more? (which makes me worry she'll get hung up about it). I don't mind how/when she gets trained as long as she's happy.

You could line the potty with a nappy! I forget where I read this, but I guess it could work! Or you could just wait a bit. Or if she has some friends who are potty training, she might like to copy them. Worked with ds - he really got interested when he saw his best friend being a 'big boy!'.

Hatter,

She see's you using the loo? Perhaps she would prefer to do what you do. Try getting a loo seat attachment, and see if that suits her better.
Quite a few toddlers just don't like potties.
