How am I going to manage this??

My DH has all the sudden got this unpaid workplacement starting tomorrow morning, since my daughter was born we have done everything regarding her care together, I've got a really bad back so hes had to carry the pushchair up and down four flights of stairs whenever we want to go out. And now I'm panicking. We have plans nearly every day for the next 3 weeks and I've no idea how I'm going to get her out of the house.

I've though of leaving her in her cot, taking the pushchair down and then fetching her but everyone I've mentioned this to says the pushchair might be stolen Confused

I have terrible anxiety, he came to every baby group with us, every outing, he does just as much care for our daughter as I do and now I'm in a full panic of how I'm going to cope Sad

This is a long term training placement that could be up to 6 months, and my daughter is a year old so very luckily I've never had to do this on my own. Has anyone got any advice?

Thank you

the cake smash went really well, she had a great time!

Wherestheevidence yes, I don't want to go into too much detail but my DH had been out of work for a while due to health issues and he was very hands on with our daughter from the start.

She can crawl up the stairs in our house, but the stairs outside are concrete and usually wet so it makes me a little nervous even with reins.

fakenewsday, thank you so much for your kind words Smile

I'm not saying that I didn't do anything or spent any time alone with my daughter, and of course I changed nappies and fed her and everything even when my husband was home, I guess I lost a lot of confidence in myself and my anxiety got worse so we just always went out together.

I'm amazed that you've had two parents full time at home for a whole year-I don't know anyone in that situation.

Get a very lightweight collapsible stroller and hold the handle of that in one hand and your child on the other hip! Or teach her to come down stairs.

Some of the lightweight ones come with a shoulder strap. That would make it a lot easier to get down with the baby.

How's it going? :)
