DD has a lush wambamboo and I'm just about to kit her out in them. (Has anyone else kitted their lo out in them, or are they generally just a supplement nappy??)

Anyways, she has a size 1 that fits lovely. But what weight does it go up to? She's 14lb 14, at 6 months, and she's putting on around 4oz a week, but we're starting to wean her now. Should I buy size 2s?

You would be best off with size 2s I think - my diddy DS was in the size 2s from about 16 weeks and they are a lovely fit with the front folded down and a nippa. He is in them full time - loved em so much I got asked to sell em

(Oh tis Flame btw)

MyNamesNotDaveItsRodney · 25/02/2007 21:26

tie dye ones if you want something a bit different!

lunavix · 25/02/2007 21:36

Are you selling them now flame?

My only concern is I like them cos they're so slim, with the front folded down they won't be very slim will they!

They are still really slim even with the front folded down - I love them for the slimness too. Where the front seam is overlocked rather than sort of tucked in and stitched it means it lays flat compared to a tots folded down etc.

And yup - selling them and even set up shop

lunavix · 25/02/2007 21:56

oh I spose that's true.

OOOh nice shop!

Are you all out of tie dye ones atm? Maybe I should buy a size 2 and see if it piddles me off or not!

We have purple n cream in stock, or if you decide on a 6 or 12 pack I do them to order

makesachange · 26/02/2007 14:20

Makes a Change

We do Wambamboos (Bambineos) and others, in the regular colours, plus wraps, Bambineo wet nappy bags, boosters, etc. Flame (Dave) has the veeeeery cute tie dye ones and I guess the regular ones, too.

Will be getting the nappy kits in the next week or so (15 nappies, bamboo PUL wraps, liners, instructions).

is that flame????

MyNamesNotDaveItsRodney · 26/02/2007 14:27

I'm Flame

Yup, I've got the various varieties (or I am in the process of listing them)

makesachange · 26/02/2007 15:02

hehe sorry I should have said MyNamesNotDaveItsRodney not Flame - not that anyone's confused, eg

I'm not Flame, or Dave, or for that matter, Rodney.

Emma

MyNamesNotDaveItsRodney · 26/02/2007 15:08

There are a lot of us in here

TrinityRhino · 26/02/2007 15:10

hi flame, sorry you spoke to me earlier and I didn't know it was you, would have spoken to you properly

MyNamesNotDaveItsRodney · 26/02/2007 15:14

I forget that people don't recognise me (except for StGeorge who knew me for some reason ) - just assumed you were feeling cr*ppy!

lunavix · 26/02/2007 15:54

Flame/Rodney - how long will it take for tiedyed nappies to get to me if I order them today?

makesachange - [cheeky grin] can the mumsnet discount be used on all cloth nappies on your site?

OP posts:
MyNamesNotDaveItsRodney · 26/02/2007 15:58

Are you wanting a bulk pack or some of the individual ones? Individuals can be put in the post tonight (3 left), or a bulk pack should arrive by Monday

makesachange · 26/02/2007 19:58

Luna,

The mumsnet discount can be used on ANYTHING on our site

So if you like the tie dies (they're really cool!) get those from Flame and then we can sort out the rest - including some gorgeous clothes to fit over the top of those cloth nappies

Use discount code "mumsnet" on checkout.

ahh don't tempt me with cut4cloth...

I'm waiting for the day organic kids clothes are affordable... granted my kids will be out of cloth by then lol

I know what you mean, it is a problem. However take a look at this link which is really scary - not to mention what conventional cotton does to the environment...

Anyway, I've got some stuff on 25% off so with the extra 10% you get reeeally good prices.

Emma

lunavix · 27/02/2007 09:17

oh i know the argument for organic clothes, I sell organic kids clothes myself So my kids do wear some...

having said that now high street stores are stocking organic clothes, and they aren't much dearer than their usual prices ( I noticed a pack of three organic sleepsuits in next was £13, whereas a pack of three is usually £12) so this should hopefully raise more awareness and bring prices down!

MyNamesNotFLAMEItsRodney · 27/02/2007 10:13

I'd love to dress my babies in organic, but it just isn't financially viable for me

Oh well, they are in cloth so at least they have something!

makesachange · 27/02/2007 13:23

Flame - for sure - and let's face it, despite my company's ethics I don't wear nothing but organic & fair trade clothes - there's just not enough about or enough money to buy them

Luna - cool! What do you sell & where?

Emma

lunavix · 27/02/2007 13:30

I sell Tatty Bumpkin clothes and toys, it's all organic and bamboo. I'll be teaching their yoga classes in April.

OP posts:
lunavix · 27/02/2007 13:34

I should say all organic cotton or bamboo

OP posts:
makesachange · 01/03/2007 11:55

Brilliant - I love Tatty Bumpkin. Are you online or high street?

Emma

lunavix · 01/03/2007 13:26

kinda both. I'm selling locally through my classes, fairs etc, and online.

A friend has a health food store and she stocks the clothes so I'm not selling on the 'high street' so to speak, that's her domain
