How best to help my 3 month old keep her milk down I've got gaviscon and ranitidine but the gaviscon was making her really badly constipated so I stopped it and she's throwing her feeds up :( if I use gaviscon she's screaming with constipation if I don't she's throwing up feel like I can't win :(

Sorry no advice but didn't want to read and run. Have you been back to the docs? Changed formula? My goddaughter went on a prescription formula with reflux and it fixed it x

It sounds like yours might be worse than ours was.
I didn't want to add to my dd's woes with constipation so only added gaviscon to her bedtime feed, kept her upright for 30 mins before lying her down in an angled bed.
I didn't keep on with the gaviscon as we tried the thickened formula which I think has helped.
Not sure if you can thicken the special formula you have, but the 30 mins upright time and propped up bed definitely helped.
Good luck

Sorry if this post is long. I am a new mum, my LO will be 14 weeks old in 3 days. She has Colic and terrible reflux. The reflux was getting so bad that she was being sick all day long and also while she slept. I was scared to go to sleep, I couldn't take it anymore. The pediatrician said to ride it out and at 16weeks start weaning (introducing solids). She did not want to give us gavascon, saying it does not really help and causes other problems. I was using Mamia, MAM bottles with no1 teat size and she was taking between 45-60mins to take 5floz every 3 hours, and brought it all up, both during and after feeding. I was really reluctant to try AR milk because I read about constipation but I couldn't watch her being sick any more so decided to bite the bullet and try it. It was a Friday night, exactly 1 week ago, the doctors were closed, I just went out and bought a tub of Aptimal AR milk & no3 size teats for the MAM bottles (after a day realised 3's were too big as she was rattling the lot in 7mins, so bought no2's), and the results were instant. She kept the whole bottle down. I've now since upped her to 6floz every 3 ½ to 4 hours, and taking around 20mins which is much more realistic for her wee tummy. And she has honestly hardly brought anything up. She doesn't burp as much either, she maybe does it once in the middle, sometimes she's taking the whole bottle before burping. Her nappies have definitely changed in consistency. It almost looks like sand, if you get it wet to build a sandcastle. Do you know what I mean? They are very varied though, sometimes hard and sometimes soft, but at least she's still passing and not constipated. She's doing roughly 4-5 soiled nappies per day. Also she passes a lot of loud gas. I've been giving her cooled boiled water with a little apple juice mixed in. She doesn't really take much, but I've read it helps soften the poopies. I've read people saying it takes 2-3 weeks for babies to get used to the milk change. My question in all of this is: will her tummy settle after a few weeks and become used to the AR milk, so normal poops again?

Thank you if you have read all of this. All comments/advice very welcome.
