My son is 14 months and luckily until now has not had nappy rash. Having looked at other threads an explanation could be that he is teething/on cows milk/likes citrus fruits. The majority of nappy changes I use cotton wool/water and ensure well dry/nappy off time and have never used any creams because it was explained to me at the hospital that disposable nappies these days are so good at drawing moisture away from skin that to use a cream would block pores of disposable nappies which would prevent them absorbing the moisture which makes perfect sense to me. My problem is now he has a bit of redness/nappy rash(does not seem bother him though), do I use a cream or not?? He does have a bath at night using dipro bath emolient for excema on legs/feet, do you think this sufficient?
