Reuseable swim nappies

Am just about to embark on using reuseable nappies (motherease one size) and now thinking about swim nappies. Have been looking at the web but would appreciate any advice or recommendations on good ones

TIA

I used a Motherease one for DS up to about 18 months - it does look like shiny trunks! Seemed fine though. Just have a mesh lining in them.

We now have a pair of swim shorts from JoJo Maman Bebe which have a very snug waterproof lining. They do pant-style ones too and also v cute girls swimming costumes with the same liners.

DS hadn't done a poo in his swim nappy at all until last weekend in the garden. He had wee'd a lot in the waterproof liner (which held most of it in) then did a poo which of course was sitting in all that wee and when we realised the mess was bad. I think I might punch a few holes in the waterproof liner as there's no real need to hold the wee in IMO. Even in the swimming pool I think wee is expected (otherwise they wouldn't let new mothers go swimming with people who tell jokes IYSWIM)

DS1 uses one I bought in Boots and DS2 uses a Kushies one (used to be DS1's - swimming every week since about 12 weeks old, now 2.5 so obviously last well!)

mine have both used Floaties trunks but have only had one or two poo incidents in 6 years! ds wouldn't even wee in the pool !

We use BEMA ones. Really good and cost £5.50 from the swimming pool shop.

As I've said on swimmign thread I have Kooshies ones in a range of sizes. About £7-8 and really good, used for all my 3, don't hold in the wee but as Freddiecat says why bother? But DS2 has done a pooh-in-swim-nappy twice now and no need to empty the pool as it was all contained iyswim, tho we did get out as soon as i realsied of course!

Agree with the Kooshie gang. They are reasonably priced and last for ages - cute colours too.

Where can you get the Kooshie swim nappy on the web? My searches just keep coming up with other talk/discussion boards...

I use the motherease swim nappy and my dd (2yrs) testing out it's poo holding power this week before our swimming lessons started!! It was easy to flip it into the toilet and quickly get in the pool before anyone noticed! It was lucky I noticed the blank expression on her face and a little bulge appear before we got into the pool.

Looks like the motherease or Kushies are the best ones to try. I bought the mothercare one which does not fit well at all as it is too big in the legs.
Can Motherease or Kushies be sourced anywhere on the high street like John Lewis?
