Slimmest bamboo?

Hi,

Which would you say are the slimmest bamboo nappies? I would like to try bamboo and I don't like bulky nappies because of the clothing/tightness factor.

wambamboos are luuuuuuurvely

Yes, they are, because you can easily adjust the boosting unlike with other nappies.

And again... wambamboooooooos

(Its gonna be odd attempting to change the name in my head )

Bambineeeeeoooooos!

But I've got used to wbbs too... so many more letters to type

(I'm still sulking about Opal Fruits changing to starburst though so I'm best off ignored )

Can you get WBBs with poppers? I find the aplix makes them really bulky round the waist, especially as it hardens over time (plus it digs into the poor little fella). Mind you DS2 is bulky round the waist even in a disposable.

Must confess, I am thinking of chucking the cloth as I cannot find a nappy that is low bulk but high absorbency...

(ducks behind sofa to dodge the flak).

Can you not use nippas?

makesachange · 19/02/2007 11:53

WBB not currently made with poppers, but it's something I'm thinking about in the future.

However, they're made with premium YKK velcro, not aplix, which is the best and nicest hook and loop fastener available. It stays softer, and also is supposed not to curl like others, but it's not been on the Bambineos long enough to prove this to ME (but tests are looking good).

Nippas sound like they'd be better for you though.

Or Swaddlebees organic velour. The hemp makes them really absorbant, and the fit is slim and gorgeous, and they're side poppered, so no velcro/aplix to dig in to your child's tummy.

I've got a nippa WBB and it is better than the velcro ones, but still bulky on my already-bulky baby. Also DS2 is 11mo, very strong and very wriggly, so nippas are quite tricky to get on now. I change him standing up as much as possible and thought that stuffables would be the answer but they're not absorbant enough.

I'll check out the swaddlebees though - thanks.

Another point on the Swaddlebees velour, you can popper them together and pull them on like pants which is quicker for the wriggly worms of this world. You have to have a bit of practise with it because of the tongue booster, but it works pretty well.

You still need to handle the wrap of course, but it helps.
