My son is due his first set of injections on monday, what should I expect after he has had them?

People have said he will be grouchy, possibly feverish and may not sleep very well.

What are your experiences and what is your advice, can | give any medicine if needed??

Thank you xx

I was worried about this but my DS was absolutely fine. I did however get in some calpol just in case - but it wasnt needed.

He's now had 4 sets of injections and been fine.

If they have a temperature you can give Calpol to bring it down.
Both my two sailed through them tbh... it made them more sleepy if anything

DD was great too. Bit grouchy and I distinctly remember her shooting me a very pained and betrayed look after one set of jabs, which made me feel like cr*p for days, whereas she was over them in about 2 minutes.

Get the Calpol in if he's old enough for it and I'm sure you'll be fine.

I gave my DD some Calpol but in the end she was fine. Not even a temperature.

DS did fine with the first lot. He was a bit hot and sleepy afterwards, but didn't get too grouchy.

Calpol and keeping baby a little cooler should be all you need, and obviously lots more hugs if they do feel a little off colour.
