Will my washable wipes fray?

I've just cut up an old towel into loads of squares to use as washable wipes. Do I now have to hem them all (there are hundreds of them!) or can I just pull off the loose threads and go for it?

Can you zigzag round them instead of turning up a hem?

After a few washes you'll soon know whether you have a problem or not!

probadly not after a few washes, mine seem Ok, but I think it depends on teh quality of teh material, mine are pretty poor quality toweling and havn;t frayed noticeably.

I just zig zagged or overlocked the edges of mine - rather than hassle with a hem.
