did you see my question a few posts down emma?

About the fleece, fleece is not water proof but it is not absorbant either so the wee does not soak into it in the way it does the nappy itself which is absorbant so when nappy is peed on the air will slowly evaporate the wee, this is why someone with a heavy wetter may hate fleece and someone with a dainty wee'er like my ds loves it.

Your question about nappy touching fleece it should be stitched in such a way that the fleece is not really inside the nappy if that makes sense. It should be stitched so that the inner PUL kind of travels further out than the outer fleece travels in so that the wet nappy doesn't touch it to avoid wicking. Lol that makes no sense does it?

i'm confused were you talkin about pocket nappies there?

Sorry Nappyaddict, ask again?

Emma

Not partucularly sorry it was hard to explain without a diagram lol.
The outer fleece layer in a pul/fleece wrap should be stitched in such a way that it is not folded around the inside of the wrap so it does not actually touch the nappy on the inside.

nappyaddict · 17/02/2007 13:46

just checked and there's no fleece inside the wrap, so will that be ok? it did wick when i used it but i think that was cos of the binding so going to ask for one without binding.

"am a bit dubious about her claims that the extra seam needed for gussets make it more prone to leaking ... of course i could be completely wrong here."

so as long as the fleece isn't folded around the inside of the wrap there's no way it can touch the inside?

The binding may be what caused it to wick if you got it from ther I would tell her it wicked and that you want to try the other style for this reason.
Sory about my rubbish escriprion I am lost for words when I am unable to wave my hands about.
I would say if the fleece is not folded in such a way that is is stitched toward the inside of the wrap and it is not able to touch the nappy it will not be wicking the wee away from the nappy towards the outside of the wrap.

I think this seller is giving far too much info and options here just confuses everyone.

nappyaddict · 17/02/2007 13:52

yes i agree! i would have ordered some more wraps by now, but cos she has got so many options i am trying to work out what to order!
