Full fat milk does not agree with 13 Month year old so can I give Soya milk (full fat) with added calcium and vitamins?

I have tried full fat normal milk, I have also tried Arla Big Milk but both don't agree with him as he poos straight after, very loose stools and a very sore bumSad

Actually there is a Soya milk especially for 1 to 3 year olds so it is suitable for babies

Milk is important along with a well balanced diet.

there is also soya infant formula, but that doesn't mean it is good for your child.
Just because some manufacturer writes it somewhere. It is also huge allergen.

There are way better alternatives if breast milk is not available.
really, soya milk and rice milk are the worst choices of alternative milks.

The soya affecting hormones thing has been debunked by professionals.

Well, apparently they haven't told the NHS.

That page talks about infant formula for babies who are having mainly milk. The OPs child is 13 months old and will be eating food alongside a smaller volume of milk so not as applicable

BertieBotts · 01/11/2016 19:22

Yes it does. But there's no information for milk as a supplement, which is probably because it's unnecessary.

Since it's unnecessary, it seems silly to choose something which is a potential risk. To me, anyway.

Regarding soya infant formula, there are talks about pulling it off market, I guess it is not all good as it was tought earlier.

dementedpixie · 01/11/2016 19:44

I don't think they would take it off the market as it is one of the only options for parents who want to feed their dc a vegan diet. Do you have a source for that info?
