Motherease airflow wraps - what size?

My DS is 8.5mths and just over 19lb I think his medium motherease wraps are just starting to get on the small size for him (they'll go on for a bit longer but length wise they are starting to get on the short size)he's a light/longlish baby (25th centile weight/75th length). Which size up would be best for him the med/large or large - I'd like to get the large as they will obviously last longer but as he's quite slim I don't want to get them if they are going to be loose and we get leaks. Thanks for any advice.

I'll have to look and see which of mine are what size, and get back to you. I think I'm using a mix of M and M/L and L on a 21lb ish crawler/cruiser.

I started DS on cloth at 11 mths and 19lbs and he went straight into large with no problems, he is slim of waist with chunky thighs, he is still wearing large on the same popper settings at 3 yrs old (blimey) and obviously he's grown and changed shape abit since then.

I have a very slim DD, 9th centile for weight, no idea about length, she is nearly 2 and in m/l with plently of roon for growth, no leaks and I am happy with the fit.

I can;t tell whith out looking at label which are M/L and with M the size is so close, just a different number of poppers at the waist. L are def bigger.
L seem baggy but leak free (legs and wasit holes are fine, just teh fabric is baggy) on my boy whos a chunky 21lbish but they do as back up when all others in wash.
If you can find them locally why not buy 1 L to try now, it'l do him in teh future even if its too big now.

we went straight to L because DS has chunky thighs. but i'm not sure how much it matters about a loose fit tbh - it's about preventing wicking rather than containment really, isn't it? except when you get superwees that escape the nappy - and i don't find that the wrap keeps them in anyway!

Hi all

Thanks for all your posts - As DS has slim little legs and body I've decided to get a few M/L and see how we get on from there and then decide whether I need to get a few more in large

I went straight from medium to large at that age with no leaks or problems and ds is slim at only 22lbs now at 15 months.
I went for that size as I thought they should see him through to potty changing.

PinkTulips · 03/02/2007 09:23

ds is over 20lbs (not sure what he weighs at the minute!) and is tall too. 95th centile for both. hestill fits in the M/L with loads of room to grow.

UniSarah · 03/02/2007 19:57

Ok, did some camparing today. the smallest leg hole on the L is smaller than the largest on the M or ML . Waist on smallest popper on L is about the same as on middle of the M or largest of the M/L .

M and M/L airflow laid over each other are the same size. M has 3 poppers at waist and M/L only 2. Can't see any other differnece in the ones I have.
