Haven't, btw, but wondering about it.
Know it's fine for them to sleep on their fronts at this age if they roll there, but she ain't a great roller...

not sure to be honest my dd has slept on her side since she was about six months and my mum says she always used to putme to sleep on my front not sure

DetentionGrrrl · 01/02/2007 09:28

If she's not rolling anyway, why would you want to put her there?

My DS is 7mths and i put him on his back each time, but he'll flip himself over every night, so i leave him to it. Can't spend all night turning him back over!

I wouldn't have thought it would be a problem at 10 months as lots of babies can roll anyway but I'm no expert. Isn't it just the first 6 months when its a problem??

I know i'll probably get shouted at, but my DS has gone to sleep on his front since he was about 5 months old.

same here nip

after, oh, about, 2 nights, i decided both my dd's wanted to sleep on their fronts. they used to fall asleep on me on their fronts and they seemed warm, comfortable, and secure, so i put them down on their fronts in their cot

Cloudhopper · 01/02/2007 09:47

In all honesty, dd1 slept on her front right from day 1. She wouldn't sleep on her back, and it was a choice between sleeping on her front or not at all.

I hardly slept in her first year worrying about it.

Thanks everyone - and ditentiongrrrl, she has a really flat spot at the back of her head, and I'm trying to stop her making it any bleedin' worse. She'll be having her naps on her tummy, but suspect I'll cowardly custard out of it still for nighttime...

Last week FSID recommended that parents follow the same advice for daytime naps as at night time.
