My baby just will not take milk unless warm and if it goes cold during feeding she refuses it!!!

We are using the tommee tippee bottle warmer for dr brown bottles but takes so long to heat!!

Any advice about microwaving bottles and how to keep at consistent temp during feed??

Thanks so much

I didn't microwave bottles for months, and then did and wish I had all along. We microwave 240ml for 40 seconds. Main things would be to shake it really really well so they there aren't any hot spots. As long as you do that I think it's fine. If you are doing all or mainly bottles, how about getting a tomme tippee perfect prep - then it can make it warm and don't need to warm it up?

Also you can then always microwave mid-feed if you need to, just for a few seconds. Just make sure you shake it again.

Have you considered a prefect prep machine? Delivers the bottle at the perfect temperature every time!

I do sometimes microwave bottles, you just need to shake them well before serving!

Yes I do have the perf prep machine - sometimes we make up bottles and keep on fridge - or if it's expressed milk from the fridge!

Stick in a bowl of boiling of water.
Tbh no matter what you do the milk is going to cool down and unless you keep popping in back in the bowl it's hard to keep consistent unless he drinks it fast

I've read that microwaving the milk can make a difference to the nutrients. I would only ever be using it for formula. Not sure if this applies

We had a jug of cooled boiled water which we used mixed with freshly boiled hot water, to get the formula about the right temp instantly.

For expressed milk, we always used a bowl of hot water to warm it up.
