Best things for teething?

Hi all, I've tried dentinox, bonjela, nelsons teething granulas, calpol and the usual teething rings etc. Nothing seems to be working for my 7 month old who I think is cutting his first teeth. All he wants to do is suck/gum me! It's as if he's constantly trying to give me a love bite. Sleep is even worse than usual and he seems more grumpy during the day. What worked for you? And how long did the teething hell last for? We've been nearly 2 weeks and still no teeth to show for it all. Thanks in advance.

Calgel is quite good. Baby ibruprofen worked better for us than calpol with the teeth, I think because it is also anti-inflammatory. Anbesol is also really good but I'm not sure about age requirements with that one. Different things tended to work for us at different times tbh.

Anbesol is good. And try Ashton and Parsons powder.

I've got a bruise on my boob where my DD gummed me, I feel your pain!

Ibuprofen. This is anti inflammatory so will work much better than calpol.
Anbesol. Get the liquid version as its easier to apply to a biting baby! It's available over the counter.,

Only thing that worked for us was the nurafen (ibuprofen). Calpol didn't touch it.

Liquid anbesol worked best for mine, that and the occasional dose of paracetamol.

We use the Ashton's and parsons teething powder, so much better than Nelsons. Anbesol liquid is also really good.

It can last weeks! DS started showing signs at 12 weeks and at 25 weeks now has two teeth through on the bottom.

I was hoping for a break but now one of his top teeth is on the move and he's even more dribble than before.

Yesterday he was trying to chew on my kneecap!

We top him up in bonjela a couple of times a day, rubbing it into the gums.

Ibuprofen worked better for us too. If that still doesn't quite take the pain away for him, we give the occasional dose of paracetamol on top, which sorts him out.

When he was littler though and looking for things to chew on, a damp flannel kept in the fridge so it was nice and cold worked quite well, as did cold rusks.

Thanks all. I will get some ibuprofen today (didn't actually know they did it for babies, thought calpol was all you could get!) and some of the other recommendations too.

Ibuprofen was definitely what worked best for us, and you can alternate that with calpol if you need of take the edge off it in esteem doses. Then the teething granules were good to stop him being grumpy, and anbelsol (liquid) is amazing. Mine was quite bad with his teething but those things definitely helped. I was also told damp cloth, flanel or muslin in the fridge for a bit, but didn't get that idea till he was over teething.
