Bathing baby everyday?

We have started trying to get our little boy into a routine & have been giving him a bath with the johnsons nighttime bath stuff every night but we are concerned that we are bathing him too often. He is 9wks tomorrow.
Thanks for any advice :)

We have only ever bathed DS twice a week - Wednesday and Sunday! - unless he is filthy and needs an extra one. But some people do it every night as part of the bedtime routine.

Personally I avoid johnsons because of articles like this www.theguardian.com/world/2016/feb/24/johnson-johnson-72-millon-babuy-talcum-powder-ovarian-cancer

Please note I don't know how much or what of this is true or up to date, but if there is doubt, there are enough products on the market to avoid a specific brand, so I do.

Quote from article

'In May 2009, a coalition of groups called the Campaign for Safe Cosmetics began pushing Johnson & Johnson to eliminate questionable ingredients from its baby and adult personal care products. After three years of petitions, negative publicity and a boycott threat, the company agreed in 2012 to eliminate the ingredients 1,4-dioxane and formaldehyde, both considered probable human carcinogens, from all products by 2015.'

Don't use J&J products, they are really terrible. Water is all that's needed for ages, but if you want to use something look for a natural goats milk soap.

At that age we bathed DS maybe two to three times per week, probably more like twice! More often we showered together instead. They aren't dirty (except in your case with milky creases, poor thing) and the baths were very drying on his skin. Plus my back hurt from leaning over the tub and supporting him.

Again, as with most parenting decisions, whatever works for you is fine. :)

Our electricity bill went up twenty euro a month from bathing dd (17 months)every 3rd night. The immersion sent it through the roof so we can't afford any more that that!! Plus her hair has to be blowdried now ..

Use elave products on her hair and body has grand skin. They last ages and she doesn't smell of products..
