What do you think of this helmet for active toddlers?

I happened to come across this website after searching the web to find out if a helmet for active toddlers could be purchased. www.thudguard.co.uk/index.html
I'm just wondering if any parents using mumsnet have used this product, and if it's effective.
I have an 8-week-old baby, and, after enduring far too many stressful and heartstopping episodes (my daughter actually sustained a fractured skull after falling on ceramic tiles!), I'm so pleased to have discovered this product and I want to get organised for when she starts becoming active! But I'm wondering how practical it is.

Oh, my goodness - I didn't expect so many replies so soon! I don't work for this company, I just wondered if anybody had tried it! It was my older daughter who fell and banged her head on ceramic tiles when she was one year old, and I guess I am an over protective mum because of this! I'm so mortified and wish I didn't post this, but I'm glad I've given you all a good laugh!

c'mon, I think we are being a bit slack (said she who asked for tit tickling)

In all honesty, meathmom, you don;t need a helmet for your toddler. DS1 is 2yo, and bashes his head 900 times a day, and he's fine.

VeniVidiVickiQV · 16/01/2007 16:53

Or, safehands himself...

Dont be meathmom, we've all had a giggle

Tell you what though.....I googled "David Seaman" and the picture on page 3

It was like a donkey punch........

omg & ROFL....

I've just googled images too.

All I can say to that pic is "ouch"

meathmom1234 · 16/01/2007 16:57

Thank goodness my other children are past that stage where they're banging their heads 900 times a day! And, no, it didn't do them any harm. So you all think I'm ultra paranoid!

Maybe a tiny bit over-cautious

VeniVidiVickiQV · 16/01/2007 16:59

Nah, your just normal meathmom!!!

It shouldnt have come up though, that sore looking pic. I am at work and it has "moderate safe search" on. Crikey, I cant even view folks picture trails on here...

I did know a boy who used to sleep in a crash helmet though.....

He's not a boy now of course, he's all grown up. But, when he was about 4 or 5, the plaster in his bedroom fell down from the ceiling above his bed during the night. He wouldnt go to bed without it after that, for some considerable time....

IntergalacticWalrus · 16/01/2007 17:01

in fact, DS1 banged his head (on purpose, while having a paddy) on the pavement this morning. He's alright, save for a lovely bruise on his forehead.

He looks like he's got a large purple bindi

couldn't imagine sleeping wearing one, he must've spent his time with a creak in his neck!
